“In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the Lord. Jeremiah 29:12-14 NLT
When I read this verse on my bible I can’t help but read it over and over. Yes there will be a lot of tests, there will be moments in our lives where it would be a lot easier to just give up but God loves us so much and He doesn’t want His children to go astray so Jesus left us with a guide. A book that contains His promises, a book that is filled with His unfailing love for us. Yun para sa akin ang bible.
I once read in Matthew 23:37…
“How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me.”
Baka nagtataka kayo… Why do I read my bible?
I am easily tempted to go back to my old ways.
Honestly when I started reading my bible my first reaction was “Wow! Keri ko ba ito? Ang kapal ha! At ang sulat ang liit! Ang sakit sa mata nito!” Then goes my next reaction: “Kaloka ang dami ng characters.”
Yung mga nagawa kong kasalanan nuon, yun ang pumipigil sakin para i-worship si God at lumapit sa kanya hanggang sa nalaman ko na hindi Jennica, mag sorry ka lang. Repent. Ask God for forgiveness. Ang Panginoon naman, ang pagmamahal niya sa atin unconditional. Hindi Niya binibilang ang mga kasalanan natin para isumbat sa pagmumukha natin.
Kaya ako nagbabasa ng Bible… Nag decide ako to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Gusto ko Siya makilala pa ng mas mabuti at ngayon tuwing tempted ako to do something I know would hurt my God, I pray. I ask God to give me the courage to say NO.
“God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’ So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?’” Hebrews 13:5-6
Sad as it may seem, our friends and family could forsake us or even reject us but be rest assured that no matter how isolated we may be at times, we will always have a Father that would never leave our side, Jesus Himself.
“You are my Son; today I have become your Father.” Hebrews 5:5
Whatever sin it is that is stopping you from having a relationship with God is already forgiven when Jesus Christ died on the cross so don’t be afraid to talk to Him… Put in mind that you are His child and there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of. 0:)
